Yoga

My yoga style at BODIES.TALK is a mixture of Hatha and Vinyasa, inspired by the Katonah Yoga® method. It is functional, pragmatic and undogmatic. I attach great importance to precision and teach techniques that strengthen the body in its functions. Form holds magic and can be transformed, reformed and informed. I look at the function of a form (asana); guiding through a metaphorical narrative. In BODIES.TALK nothing is static, forms serve as a reference, but the body is reality.

BODIES.TALK is this and that, yin and yang, freedom in confinement, structured but flowing, playing with polarities, not opposites. Recognizing patterns of movement and creating an awareness of how one’s own body can be used with all the senses – so that the soul feels like living in it, because eventually, a house only becomes a home when lived in.

The Yoga Private

From body reading, to therapeutic adjustments private sessions offer the opportunity to recognize your embodied personal patterns and suggest modifications of your yoga poses.

It is a means to address challenges that may require more personal attention than available in a class setting.

Corporate Yoga provides an opportunity to step away from work for a moment, activating the parasympathetic nervous system for a clear and focused mind at work. We can be fully in charge of our life only if we can acknowledge the reality of our body. My Corporate Yoga classes are available in person and online.
